Dr. Rui (Ray) Huang is a licensed and board-certified acupuncturist, herbalist, and Doctor of Oriental Medicine. He has been practicing for over a decade and has helped thousands of patients in the Austin and Dallas/Fort Worth areas.
Dr. Huang was born and raised in Chengdu, China, where he was exposed to the healing arts at a young age through his grandmother, an oriental medicine practitioner. He learned about meridian theory and acupuncture techniques, and began accompanying his grandmother on patient visits at the age of 12. This early exposure to the healing arts sparked his passion for natural medicine and inspired him to pursue a career in acupuncture and oriental medicine.
Dr. Huang's clinical focus is on Pain Management, Mental Health, Allergy, and Bell's Palsy. He has helped many patients with chronic pain, injuries, and other musculoskeletal issues, using a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and other natural modalities. He has also worked with athletes to help them improve their performance and recover from injuries more quickly. In addition, Dr. Huang has extensive experience helping patients with weight loss and other metabolic issues. Bell's Palsy is a condition that affects the facial nerve, causing weakness or paralysis on one side of the face. Acupuncture and other natural modalities can be effective in reducing inflammation, improving nerve function, and promoting overall healing. Dr. Huang's experience with pain management and musculoskeletal issues, combined with his training in acupuncture and herbal medicine, make him well-equipped to help patients with Bell's Palsy.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Huang is also actively involved in the acupuncture community. He is the member of the Texas Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (TAAOM) and has served on the board of the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Dr. Huang is deeply committed to providing compassionate, personalized care to his patients and to advancing the field of acupuncture and oriental medicine through education and advocacy.
